I’ve gotten mixed results from research about cupid cichlids some saying peaceful and some saying that they’re aggressive and I just want clarity.

One of the most peaceful cichlids, Shy and reclusive the keyhole cichlid will make a fine addition to a community set up. Possible Tank Mates: Acaras, convicts or dwarf cichlids species from South or Central America. Plecos and American catfish are usually compatible as well.

but the cupid cichlid is a territorial and somewhat aggressive fish that should be kept in pairs. Problems with pairing are common, so allow a group of youngsters to pair off, and select the best pair. This species should be kept with calm, small to medium-sized fish of the upper swimming levels. Pairs form a nuclear family. Suggested companions: Tetras, Headstanders, larger hatchetfish, Loricarids, Pimelodus, Armored catfish, dwarf Acaras

    Depends on your tank size.
I wouldn’t keep the two species together, as keyholes are among the most peaceful of cichlids, and cupids are more aggressive. Check the following sites for more info and suggested tank mates.
